About B'TuttaFrom the Italian word "Battutta"..... "witty rhythmic interaction...a beat." Since 1990 this engaging percussion quartet has enthralled audiences young and old, giving over 1500 energetic concerts for Musica Viva Australia, the Sydney Festival and the Sydney Opera House Trust. B'tutta performances embrace music that ranges from the rhythmically intense to the reflective and thought provoking. They have given Australian premieres of works by Frank Zappa, Gordon Kerry and Graeme Leak. Their repertoire incorporates contemporary Australian, traditional and ethnic styles as well as group-generated works and improvisations. |
